Pastor Mike’s journey of shepherding began in June 9th 1997, where under the fatherhood of the late Dr. Levi B. Baldwin Jr., Pastor Mike received his license in ministry. He served under Dr. Baldwin as an Associate Minister and Director of Ministries at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Twin Oaks, PA. He was later ordained in 2002 under Dr. Harold Dean Trulear. Then, in 2004, Pastor Mike and his family joined Bethany Baptist Church in Lindenwold, NJ where he came under the mentorship of Bishop David G. Evans. After much prayer, counseling, and mentoring, Pastor Mike was released to found and pastor Word Walking Empowerment Ministries.

Pastor Mike received the vision for Word Walking Empowerment Ministries in 2004. The ministry began as a local Bible study. Then later, in the fall of 2005, Word Walking Empowerment Ministries transitioned from a local Bible study to a full-time church, becoming an extension of the arm of Jesus, as ministries of excellence to His glory.
